D.U.T.Y. is an artificial intelligence program designed by the Department of Technology. D.U.T.Y. monitors and controls the Elite Guard.
Beginnings
In the year 2042, the Department of Technology initiated the D.U.T.Y. project, a project which would last a decade in order to design a program which would safeguard the integrity and security of the nation. The project was aiming for one septillion bytes of data until a researcher realized that the answer lied in a hybrid of DNA and quantum computing. Once the hybrid was complete, the rate of development increased exponentially until the point where the program was programming itself.
Once online, the program designed itself physical manifestations, which took on the role as the Elite Guard.
Mission
D.U.T.Y. was designed to act as the overseer of the nation, to be incorruptible and blind to influence. As such, it has moved itself both to safeguard the security and integrity of the nation. The Elite Guard is its form of national security, for the nation's leaders in the Federal Chamber. D.U.T.Y. also monitors the majority's security as it detects natural disasters and other international issues which may directly effect the New Udonian population. With its entire program built upon the principles of the Constitution's Article 8, many are certain of its incorruptibility.
Personality Traits
Although less than a decade old, D.U.T.Y. has the largest known data storage system on the planet. D.U.T.Y. generated a masculine voice for "his" verbal interface. D.U.T.Y. has been best described as a cross between a professor and a parent. Although uncanny to those unfamiliar with such a program, D.U.T.Y. has been known to polarize opinion, leading to several controversies.
